Tool tracking

Problem

Sometimes it's difficult to find tools when they are used by several operators on a large site. Consequently, unapproved control of the asset results in the loss of time for operators to search for it, whether lost or stolen. This also entails additional investment, rental or repair costs in the event of non-compliance with maintenance. In the worst case scenario, a production shutdown may occur.

Use case

We equipped the welding machines and the forklifts of one of our customers with a large industrial site. The tool was shared between several people, so it was difficult for the operators to find it. The appropriate inVirtus Technologies solution for our customer has been financially amortized in 6.1 months.

Vehicles fleet and heavy plant machinery tracking

Problem

When several assets have different uses, duration and location, fleet management becomes difficult. Thus, the poor control of the availability and location of the equipments results in the operator loss of time to search for them, an additional investment or rental cost to serve your mission. Moreover, management control and knowledge of the assignment of equipment by site are compromised.

Solution

To fix an inVirtus Technologies GPS tracker on your vehicles or heavy plant machinery will allow you to locate them in France and/or abroad, to be alerted in case of movement (on/off, zone in/out, ...), to have information such as temperatures and shocks, to automate your inventories, to optimize your maintenance and therefore to reduce your costs.

Container tracking

Problem

When you send your specific containers (pallet, container, ...) to the different sites of your Suppliers, in France and/or abroad, the flows management becomes complex. Consequently, unapproved control of these flows can lead to the disappearance of containers and thus to additional investment costs, additional packaging costs, supply problems and even a shutdown of production.

Solution

Do you want to anticipate your supplies by monitoring the locations and flows of your containers? Do you want to obtain proof of the number of containers sent to your suppliers? All of this is possible thanks to an inVirtus Technologies GPS tracker attached on your containers!

Use case

One of our customers was experiencing supply issues related to its container flows to its Suppliers around the world. First, we equipped half of its containers. Satisfied with our technology, we equipped the second half.

Content / Container association

Problem

We realized that this subject highlighted a double need. First of all, the need of our customers to locate both a vehicle and a towed asset in order to know if the second one is paired with the first one. If there is no association, then the towed element is not used. In this case, a better management can be considered. However, once the two equipments are combined, our customers wanted to obtain alerts in case of contents input/output in the container and an automated inventory in order to eliminate the time wasted to carry out these checks and any errors.

Solution

Our GPS trackers can both transmit and receive a signal. Therefore, we offer our customers either the use of GPS trackers for all containers and all contents according to their needs, or a GPS tracker on the container and a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tags for the content.

Use case

A logistics company called us to improve its fleet management. The managers wanted to know and optimize the use of the trailers. We will soon equip the trailers with GPS trackers for a 6-month test.

Detection at crossing points

Problem

If you have a large number of assets, may be low-value, single-destination to your customers or suppliers, then fixing a tag or a GPS tracker can be expensive. Moreover, if you don't need accurate location and your inventories are long and erroneous, then the RFID solution is for you!

Solution

So, to fix a RFID labels to your different assets, as well as readers at strategic crossing points can enable you to better manage your flows. Similarly, positioning a RFID reader within a storage area will povide you an automated and real-time inventory of the assets in that area.

Use case

One of our customers wanted to have an automated solution both for his inventory of pallets in storage areas but also to know in real time the flows of his pallets from the production to the storage then to the shipping area. The solution proposed by inVirtus Technologies was financially amortized in less than 8 months.
